עשה אותי כלי (Make Me a Vessel)

Oseh oti kli, Adonai,
Make me a vessel,
Worthy to be filled.
Clean and purified,
Ready to do your will.

Only through Your Word,
Can I renew my mind.
Only through the Door,
Can I find my way back
To the path that is divine.

Ani kli, I am a vessel,
But this vessel is not all of me.
The light hidden within
Is what reflects Your glory.
Shine forth, make Darkness flee.

You are the master Potter;
I am clay in your hands.
Stretch me, mold me,
Shape me with Your Love.
But this is not the end.

Rise up for battle,
And come blow Your horn.
Then break this vessel;
for this You must do,
Or I can never be free.

And on the third day,
Raise me up again,
So that I may praise Your Name
For all eternity
In the land of the Living.

~Inspiration for this poem came from Judges 7, Jeremiah 18, 2 Timothy 2:19-21

  1. Thank you, sis. Abba is so good to me. I have never been given the words to write poetry nor the confidence to share them with anyone (especially not on a blog) before coming to Torah. He has given me everything that is beautiful. 🙂
